Amazon Dash Button
What I’m about to say is not going to surprise you – the internet has made us lazy. In a world where we don’t even have to flush a toilet or turn faucets off or on it’s no surprise we would be getting internet lazy too. With quick results and instant gratification the internet is even allowing us to procrastinate. Back in my day when we ordered something we had to wait 6-8 weeks… and we liked it that way! Ok, no we didn’t but there was nothing we could do about it.
There’s no need to plan ahead for a gift. We just need to make sure and order from Amazon Prime 2 days in advance of the event. If you live in a big city sometimes you only need 2 hours notice of a gift.
And now, Amazon has even upped the lazy game for us. Now we don’t even have to login to buy stuff. Nope. Just get a Dash Button and press it for your reorder. I mean, who wants to take the time to open the laptop and click the shortcut to Amazon and re-order your laundry soap? Who has time for this?!
I know what you’re thinking “I totally have time to do this but now I’m wondering what the heck a dash button is because I probably need one.”
The Amazon Dash Button is a small Wi-Fi button with the logo of the item you want to keep on hand. It reorders your item every time you push the button. So basically, if you like to keep Goldfish snacks on hand you would order a Goldfish Dash Button through Amazon for $4.99. You will get a $4.99 Goldfish credit on your first order. When you reach in the bag and have a legit panic moment that your crackers are almost gone you can simply reach over to the refrigerator and press your Dash button and soon your goldfish manna from heaven will be delivered to your door!
There’s even a built in argument solver in this thing! Let’s say you are snacking and realize you’ll need more fish soon. You press the button and then you tell your boyfriend you’ve pushed it so he doesn’t double the order. A few minutes later, he’s snacking and he reaches the bottom of the bag. He takes his cheesy finger out of the bag and presses the button… AGAIN. The next morning you’re in the kitchen and you glance at the refrigerator and see a cheesy fingerprint on the Goldfish Dash Button. You know immediately your boyfriend didn’t listen to you. Well, that’s ok because Amazon knows most boys don’t listen (this may be the writer’s opinion) so they won’t allow a re-order until the first order is delivered!
So, if logging in and pressing “order” is too much work for you then get your dash button here today. And just when you thought that Amazon couldn’t possibly help you become any more lazy I’d just like to point out that there is even a Virtual Dash Button for your desktop.
I’m not even kidding.
