OnePlus Unveil A Lava Red OnePlus 5T
Red is my favourite accessory colour for my devices. My Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet wears a red case, my 2013 Nexus 7 wore a red case, and my OnePlus 5 wears a red case. And now OnePlus are releasing a Lava Red OnePlus 5T. In the past, manufacturers have released red colour devices; HTC released a few red smartphones including the HTC One M7 and HTC One M8, and who can forget the first and second generation Moto X devices, available in pretty much any colour you wanted?
This Lava Red OnePlus 5T has a red coloured frame, fingerprint sensor, camera housing and of course the back. OnePlus have kept the front frame black, to create a distinctive and definitely red look! The red Chinese OnePlus 5 is only being released as the 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage model, at the same price as the equivalent Midnight Black device. There are no additional features: customers still benefit from the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, the dual rear camera assembly, the 6.0-inch Optic OLED display, OxygenOS and OnePlus’ very fast face unlock system.
Unfortunately, the company has no plans to release the red model in any other region of the world, or as the slightly cheaper 6 GB RAM, 64 GB storage device. However, OnePlus actively engage with users for both the software and hardware experience – this means that if enough people ask the company to release the device as either the 6 GB, 64 GB model, or elsewhere in the world, it might just happen.
