Android Social Media

That having been said you may consider that you use mostly different apps and want access to different widgets when you are at work than when you are at home. Along with other great enhancements, recent updates to Android have included a new feature called profiles.

I also am enjoying the new Google Plus widget. Because none of my other social tools can post to Google Plus (Hey Google how about an API), its nice to have quick access to post to this new social media site. I like the quick access buttons for the camera and the gallery.

In December I wrote the post “My Favorite Free Android Widgets” and since then that post averages about 17,000 views per month. With that kind of popularity I thought we deserve an update. There are still several of those same apps & widgets on my phone today but I have found new and better widgets! [...]

There have been a rash of announcements from carriers in the U.S. about launching new Smart Phones utilizing the Android OS (Operating System) from various manufacturers including venerable Motorola. With Motorola jumping into the Android pool head first with their launch of the ‘Cliq’ on November 19th on T-Mobile, and a second Android Smart Phone before year-end, is Android getting the traction it needs to challenge the two 800-pound Gorillas in RIM’s BlackBerry and Apple’s proprietary iPhone in the Mobile U.S. OS world?
